To successfully submit your AdSense application, the URL that you provide must be a domain that you own, and must not be a webpage or directory, or contain any parameters. For example, if you’re the domain owner of <i>example.com</i> and that’s the domain that you want to monetize with AdSense, then you should enter <i>example.com</i> in the box labelled “I will show ads on.”<br />

You will need to show ads on your domain, for your application to be reviewed. The number of accounts that can use the same domain to sign up for AdSense is limited. If there are already ads from a different AdSense account being served on your sign-up domain, you'll need to use a different domain to sign up for your new AdSense account.

If you'd like to get approved for AdSense for content ads, then you need to implement the ad code on a page that receives traffic and has content. Until you pass the second review step, your ad units will remain blank.<br />

As soon as our systems detect impressions on the blank ad units, the review will automatically continue. After that, it typically takes 2 to 3 days until we send you an email to tell you whether you've been approved. If you are approved, ads will automatically start showing up in your ad units. If you installed the ad code on a page that has visitors but still haven’t heard from us after a few days, please check if you have installed the code correctly.<br />

We have found that in most cases when publishers waited for a long time to be reviewed, it was because they have not implemented the ad code on an active page yet.</div>

How long does it take to have my application reviewed?</h3>
<br />
<ol>
<li>Once you submitted your application, you will receive an email from us within <b>6 to 8 hours</b> that will tell you whether you have passed the first step of the review process. If you passed the first check, you can then log in to your AdSense account. You will see a red bar across the top of your account. To initiate the second step of the review, you need to implement the ad code on a page of your signup URL that receives traffic. If you do not implement the ad code, the review process will not continue.</li>
<li>Once our system detects that the code has been placed on a live page, we will automatically review your websites with the ad code - not only the page that you submitted in the application. It typically takes <b>2-3 days</b> for our specialists to complete the review. Depending on the volume of applications we receive, it may sometimes take longer. As soon as we’ve reviewed your application, we’ll send you an email with details on your application status. If you implemented the ad code and it takes longer, make sure your code is implemented correctly and is placed on a page that receives impressions. Don’t place the code on a test page that has nothing but the ad code on it.</li>
<li>Once your application is fully approved, the ads automatically start showing in your AdSense for Content ad units and the red alert in your account disappears.</li>
</ol>

Please note that if you don’t plan on using AdSense for Content, you will already see ads after you complete the first review and you don’t need to complete the second review step. Even though you still see a red alert in your AdSense account, this only applies to AdSense for Content ads but does not impact other products, like YouTube monetization, AdSense for Games or AdSense for Search.<br />

1. Submit your application (You)</h3>

The most important thing for success with Google Adsense is having a website with great content that delights your users. So, before you apply to google adSense, check that your site has interesting and original content. And of course, you need visitors too, or no one will see your ads, so make sure that people know about your site before you place ads on it.<br />

There are some rules about what kind of content is acceptable which you should read. Google has also put together these helpful tips for application success. When you're ready:<br />

If your website is on one of our host partner sites (like <b>Blogger</b>, <b>YouTube</b>, or <b>Hubpages</b>, among many others), you should sign up through your account there - these sites follow a different application process.<br />

2. Verify your information (Google)</h3>

Google will check the information in your application (your address, URL, etc.) and send you an email regarding the status of your application within one day.<br />

3. Place ads on your site (You)</h3>

Once Google has verified your information, it's time for you to create your first ad unit and place the ad code on the URL that you provided in your application. Make sure to place your ad code on a webpage that receives traffic.<br />

You'll only see blank ad units on your site until you've passed the second review and google has fully activated your adsense account. You'll also see a red bar across the top of your account saying that you're still under review.<br />

4. Review your account for approval (Google)</h3>

Once Google's systems detect that you've placed the ad code on a live page, google will automatically continue the review process and check that your site complies with their policies. When they've completed the second review, google will send you an email letting you know the status of your application. This process can take up to a week.<br />
